Job Description

Develop efficient defect free code in the language of choice, confirming to chosen standards
Develop effective Unit Test Cases
Use efficient testing tools and method for the unit testing
Understand Data model & database structure
Understand requirement & the design specifications and translate the specifications to efficient code
Be proficient in the use of-
Language syntax and structure
Frameworks associated with the language
Debug tools
Development environments
Configuration management tool
Bug Reporting & tracking tool
Understand Architecture and develop module level design specifications
Help evaluate tools and possibly write proof of concept codes
Develop data models for small modules to be integrated with other modules of the application
Conduct efficient design reviews / code review / test case reviews
Provide regular status and progress towards milestones with ones manager
Judge adherence of design and code to standards
Make performance recommendations on design and implementation
Promptly escalates issue to reporting manager
Prepare and maintain quality records for ones own work
Increase own productiveness and teams, to meet the project's expectations
Adapt to new team, project and methodologies (all apart from technology as such)
Should effectively relate problems to known techniques and solutions to generate multiple options
