Promising director Krish's Allu Arjun-Manoj-Anushka starrer Vedam, which collected Rs. 10.5o crores in its first 5 days in India alone and emerged as the biggest opener of the year overseas by collecting US$ 0.20 million in the US, is all set to be remade in Tamil.
R.B. Chowdary of Supergood Movies bought the Tamil remake rights. Two popular Tamil heroes will handle the roles played by Allu Arjun and Manoj.
Vedam revolves around Ananda Raju (Allu Arjun), known as Cable Raju because of his profession, a budding rockstar Vivek Chakravarthy (Manoj Manchu), a prostitute Saroja (Anushka), Rahimuddin Qureishi (Manoj Bajpai), a Muslim who faces the wrath on account of his religious background, and Ramulu (Nagayya), a poor weaver who is forced to leave his village and come to the city with his daughter-in-law Padma (Saranya) to earn money to clear his debts and educate his grandson. These five come together by chance in a hospital under attack by hostages...
