Job Description Intel architecture based microprocessor design and validation. In this position, you will be responsible for working under the guidance of micro-architects and senior logic and/or circuit design and validation engineers to implement test plans, design tests, execute test plans and debug simulation results. In this position, you will be responsible for the research and development of tools and solutions for system level validation of IA32 (Intel processor architecture). You will be part of a very dynamic team and will be closely working with various design teams across-geographies with in Intel. Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components. Responsibilities may include: documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
Education You should possess a Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in Electronics and/or Electronics and Communication and/or Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) area

Desired profile You should possess a Bachelor's and/or a Master's degree in Electronics and/or Electronics and Communication and/or Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) area. Additional qualifications include::
- Sound understanding of logic design and functional verification fundamentals encompassing state machine design, logic design, functional test strategies, directed and stress test generation, verification infrastructures and verification and/or debug flows
- High level Register Transfer Level (RTL) language such as Verilog* or VHSIC Hardware Description Language(VHDL)
- Adept in programming and/or scripting (C++*, Perl* and others) and be conversant with flows and tools for VLSI logic design and/or functional verification
- Fast learner and Good team player
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with industry standard simulators such as Modelsim* and VCS* would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl* and ability to automate tasks with scripts would be an added advantage
